John Herren is a freelance technical consultant with focus on web applications design and development. He was formerly staff writer and developer community evangelist for Zend Technologies. Along with founding neat experiments like TagCloud.com, John served as senior project architect at Ionzoft, Inc., and co-founded what is now the largest web development firm in Mississippi. He is a published author of Linux certification study material, and is really, really close to converting his first patent. John enjoys using open source software like PHP and Ruby on Rails to bend the web into exciting new chimeras of hyperlinked goodness.
